When UP Governor Ram Naik became President, Amarjeet made this proposal before the Governor, on which the Governor decided and sent the proposal to the then Samajwadi Government, but for some reason he could not succeed. Later, the Bharatiya Janata Party government came to the state, then the proposal was sent again by Governor Ramnaik. After which the Yogi government accepted this proposal and decided to celebrate Uttar Pradesh Day every year. Since 2018, this day is being celebrated in Uttar Pradesh.
